Introduction
In this new age and time, everybody is busy with their responsibilities, which include responsibilities like family, friends, etc. The times have changed to such an extent that very few people have time for themselves. Definitely, we have become modern, but at what cost? We want to become successful, but by what means? We need to ask ourselves these questions: What do we need to sacrifice in order to obtain materialistic things? And even if we get certain things in our lives, we are still in misery. So why are we sad even after attaining what we desired in this unhappy world?
Day-to-day Problems
There are many things in the life of a human being that can make him or her unhappy. One of them being the sheer pressure of handling the responsibilities like paying monthly bills, school fees and overall taking care of the family finances. With inflation hitting every now and then, it’s not easy to run the house and still save money for any emergency situations.
The Role of Authority in an Unhappy World
The government also play a vital role in the prosperity of a society. Plenty of countries have corrupt government systems. These governments do not consider the welfare of society or people; in turn, people have to bear the burden of taxes and high goods prices set by the government. This also impacts a person’s mental state and consequently results in destructive behaviours at the workplace and at home.
Technology Lead to More Sadness?
Third, and the most important in the modern scenario, is the excessive use of technology. How often do we see today that a 5-year-old kid is fed to screens, so that he or she is occupied? This habit is injurious for a kid, and we can also conclude that this will become a habit as the kid grows. This same pattern is seen in children and adults.
People Of a Young Age are Most Affected
Indeed, teenagers are more occupied with social media posting stupid things than younger age groups. Kids, children, teenagers, adults and even parents bow down to social media. Watching reels on a daily basis for hours and hours is a mental disease that needs to be dealt with, or else it’s going to destroy the generations yet to come. This short-term pleasure is the cause of our long-term downfall.
Solution for our Problems
What can be the solution to all these circumstances? One thing is for sure: we can’t live without the internet, as we depend on it a lot. So everyone should learn to use it and not get addicted to it. There should be a balance regarding the use of the internet in any form, whether it is social media or watching anything online. The government should also intervene in these matters to ensure the country’s growth. But governments have their own interests to follow.
Atomic Habits for Solving an Unhappy World
The most effective way to deal with misery is to adopt new habits that relax your mind and body. Doing physical activities calms our minds and also benefits our health. So one should include playing games like badminton, football, etc, in their daily life to release stress.
One thing that is a highly effective way to relieve stress and body is meditation. Practising meditation is a blessing, as it makes your body relaxed and energetic at the same time. It does wonders for our mental health. One should definitely include this in their routine.
Final Thoughts on an Unhappy World!
So to ensure happiness in our lives, we should limit the use of mobile phones and the internet, and at the same time adopt healthy habits for our mind and body. If we want to change something in our lives, a small step needs to be taken, and eventually that would grow into a bigger purpose, of us being happy.
